On October 21, 1950, the body of a newborn baby girl was found by a couple in a virtually dry Provo riverbed 3 miles from the mouth of Provo Canyon, in Utah County, Utah. The location was not far from Christmas City Cafe/Tavern. The water in the riverbed was drained about 2 days before at Murdock diversion dam.
The baby had been wrapped in a sheet and weighed down with a large rock likely when the water was still running. The body was too decomposed so the cause of death could be found. She was likely a 7-month fetus and it undetermined if she was born or aborted.
Jane doe was a newborn white female.
