On November 17, 1917, the body of a newborn boy was found in Plymouth, Pennsylvania. He had died of exsanguination (loss of blood) that day. It was believed that the child was murdered to cover up an illegitimate birth. It was believed he was born the day before he was found.
On July 19, 1915, just outside of Lewistown, Montana the body of a newborn girl was found on the ranch of John Crowley. New articles state that the baby was born alive, but according to Find a Grave the death certificate lists her as a stillborn.
SOURCES:On December 27, 1902, a woman would go to a well for water on Botloes Green in Newent, England. She would look inside the well and thought she had seen her cat. She would ask a man to help her retrieve it from the well. Instead of a cat, it was the body of a 10-day-old baby girl.
On August 18, 1924, the body of a murdered baby was found buried in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There is little information in this case.
On July 26, 1924, the body of a newborn baby boy in a sack was found by 3 boys who were fishing in the River Ouse in North Yorkshire, England.
In June 1858, an unknown baby boy was found on Hardwick St in London, England. The boy was not a newborn and was around 6 months old making his birth around or in December. It's not stated if his death was murder or not. He was buried at the City of London Cemetery on June 14, 1858.
On June 11, 1952, road construction was happening along the route of U.S. Highway 30, about four miles west of Tama, Iowa. A construction worker discovered a box 350 feet east of the Raven Creek bridge on the south side of the roadway. The box was a Wilson Packing Company box marked “chili.” and was wrapped with a cord.
The worker would open the box to find something horrifying. Inside the box were two packages wrapped with newspapers and tea towels. Inside the packages was the horrifying sight of the body of a baby boy. The other package was the afterbirth. It was found that the baby had blunt force trauma to the head and the baby was alive for 2 and a half to 3 hours.On May 11, 1933, Mr. Davis was walking t near Highway No. 4 five miles from Unionville, Missouri. The ground was wet and didn't want to fight with the muddy roads. He would pass a culvert and notice what he initially thought was a baby doll on the rocks below. He continued on his walk, but the "doll" made him uncomfortable.
When he got to the next house the thought of it not just being a baby doll bothered him. He would go up to tell Mr. Steele of the "doll" and that he was uncertain if it was actually one or an infant. Mr. Davis would continue on to Unionville and Mr. Steele went to check on the doll. It was not a doll, but the body of a newborn baby girl. He would contact another neighbor and then they contacted Sheriff Gibson. The Sheriff and Prosecutor could not show up to the scene, so Dr. Thomas would also show up instead.On March 12, 1924, the body of a newborn baby girl was found by a man walking his dog at the Reading Room near Allonby, England. The man was walking his dog heading towards Silloth when he saw his dog near the Reading Room. He would go home without the dog. Later he would see his dog coming back over the Skew Bridge with something in his mouth. It was the arm of a newborn.
The man would then go back to the Reading Room and would find more of the babys' remains above the high water mark about 2 to 3 ft from the grass. The baby's other arm was missing and her neck and face were disfigured. It's not stated if this was due to other animal activity.On January 12, 1880 body of a newborn baby girl was found in a box in the lady's lavatory in Paragon Station in Hull, England. It's not stated if she was born alive or not.
On December 14, 1923, the newborn body of a baby boy was found in the Regents Canal near Grove Road, Marylebone district in London, England. A man on the towpath next to the canal found the body in the canal. He was wrapped up in a piece of calico cloth. It's believed that the baby died from inattention at birth and was in the canal for around 17 days.
At the beginning of the winter of 1923 in Poland 32-year-old Marianna Dolińska and other Roma families living in the Roma community near Antoniówka were suffering from hunger. It was a hard winter for them and members of the community began to steal food and animals from nearby farms to prevent starvation.
In reaction, the State Police decided to stop the Roma who were stealing. One of the Roma that was arrested was Marianna's husband. This would leave her and their four children without help. Soon after his arrest, the camp was dispersed. For unknown reasons, the Dolińska family was rejected by the community.
Marianna and her children were left to wander around the forest and starve. Marianna's mentality was getting worse and believed that she and the children would starve to death and that was a slow and painful death. Instead of watching her children waste away, she decided to take their fate into her own hands.
On the night of December 11, 1923, would hang her four children 6-month-old Zofia, 3-year-old Antoni, 5-year-old Bronisława, and 7-year-old Stefan. She would then go to the Rodam police and admit her crime. She would bring them to her children. A police photographer would take photographs of the scene. (These photographs are seen in most mentions of this case.) There was a 6-month investigation into the case because of Marianne's mental health.
Marianna was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. She was suicidal at the time and planned to kill herself, but did not follow through. She was observed exhibiting frequent and violent mental changes. She had fits of rage and destructive behavior or would fall into a stupor for days. It was determined that she was a "neutral perpetrator" and had done it without awareness of the consequences at the time. By 1926 she suffered from manic-depressive disorder and was believed to have bipolar disorder.On December 11, 1923, the body of a newborn baby boy was found dead in the Endcliff Park boating dam in Sheffield, England. He had been burned about the head and arms before he was placed in the water. It's not stated what his cause of death was.
