 On Jan. 14, 1870, an unknown individual (gender unstated) died of pneumonia in Wallace, Kansas. They would be buried the next day at the Wallace Township Cemetery in Wallace. There is little information in this case.

UNIDENTIFIED: 1864 Garnett, Kansas Jane Doe

An elderly African American woman was part of a group of refugees that a man named John Horn rescued from Missouri in 1864. It was believed that she died from fright because she was afraid that Bushwacker would take her back to Missouri. She was living in a hut on what was called Thompson hill. She would die in Garnett Kansas and because she was without clothing she would be buried in John Horn's Army overcoat.

UNIDENTIFIED: September 24, 1908 Lebo Kansas Unknown Boy

On September 24, 1908, the body of a young man was found dead 3 miles east of Lebo, Kansas on the Santa Fe train tracks. His body was in bad condition due to being run over by a train. It was believed that he was riding the rods of a passenger train or was on freight and fell off. This resulted in the train running over his body. His head and left shoulder were severed from his body. It wasn't stated on how recent they believe he died.

He was a white male and was believed to be in his teens likely around 14 to16. He had a fair-skinned and freckled complexion. He had light hair and brown eyes. He was around 5 ft tall. He had a half-moon like a scar over his right eye. He had nothing that would identify him, but he was carrying milk tickets and two tickets to an Opera in Tennessee

MISSING: Clarence Theodore Moore

 

In 1956 26-year-old Clarence Theodore Moore was stationed at Fort Riley with the 16th infantry in Kansas. His family lived in West Virginia, his wife received a letter from a Chaplin at Fort Riley. The letter stated the Clarence may have gone AWOL and heading towards Canada and the FBI got involved. All of the child allotment checks stopped. His social security was not used after 1956. His daughter claimed that she has evidence that her father was still around Fort Riley after his disappearance, but it was never proven.

He was a white male and was 5'8/5'9 and 160 lbs. He has dark brown hair and blue eyes.
